German Wine Festival 9/9-9/11

The Qingdao Expat Charity is  very excited to be a part of the German Wine Festival this year. The German Wine Festival graciously invited us to participate so the Charity can raise funds for local children in need of heart operations.

Located in the Olympic Marina on the deck No.2 (Darling Harbor area), the festival will open on Friday, September 9th through Sunday, September 11th. It will be a festive, three day event where you can taste wines from Germany and Austria, eat an array of typical German and local specialties, as well as listen to live music!

The Qingdao Expat Charity will hold a charity auction on Friday night at 8:00pm.  Throughout the event, we will sell homemade baked goods, Caribbean chili and a Qingdao souvenir tote and pencil bags, custom-designed for our Charity! All proceeds raised from our sales will go directly to help the children we support!

Wines from Germany (Pfalz, Rheinhessen) and Austria (Carnuntum) will be served by  glass or bottles, along wine cocktails, beer and non alcoholic drinks. The food section will feature German typical delicacies served by Lisa’s, Imported Cheeses by Swissmooh, Sushi by Raki, Fresh Sandwiches and Bread by 7 Senses, Häagen Dazs Ice Creams, Local Seafood by Mingyan,  and Homemade Baked Goods and Chili by the Qingdao Expat Charity.  This is a family event, so please bring the kiddies!  Fun Club will be providing a  blocked off “kiddie corner” for kids to play, while the parents enjoy the festival!
