With trumpets blaring and colors blazing, the QINGDAO EXPAT CHARITY is bringing in the romance and spirit of New Orleans with their MARDI GRAS celebration on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the Hyatt Hotel.
Mardi Gras, which means “Fat Tuesday” in French, is a carnival full of music, masquerade and as many beads as you can wear.
Join us for a night full of cocktails, buffet dinner, fundraising raffle, live music, and dancing until your feet hurt! Festive formal attire and masks are encouraged!
Proceeds raised during the event will help local children in the Qingdao area supplement school tuition and provide financial assistance for children in need of medical attention, specifically congenital heart disease. The Qingdao Expat Charity is entirely dependent on donations and completely run by volunteers. The Charity supports over 65 students at schools in Jimo, Pingdu, and Laishi. Over the last year, the Charity has supported 6 children in need of heart operations. With your help, the Qingdao Expat Charity can continue to make a difference in the lives of these children.

It’s a dressy occasion so we encourage festive, party wear! Evening cocktail dresses, slacks, and button down shirts. Please no tee-shirts or jeans.
Do I have to buy a masquerade mask for this event? I can’t find one mask. Will masquerade masks be provided?

Are children allowed to attend?
Sorry no kids are allowed, 18 years and older please. This is a night where adults and parents can let loose and have a good time.
